· I have used one, a older model on a inner tube. And yes you are basically sniping with it. I also have a 4" dredge with air, and it really is what works. But for a small stream it can be backpacked in a whole lot easier. It takes me two trips to pack in the 4". If you have any amount of overburden to remove, forget the 2".
· The dredge is powered by a 6.5 hp Honda gas engine. It comes with 20 feet of brand new, never used 4" suction hose purchased from Keene engineering. The suction foot valve has one use on it, and has always been stored the proper way (vertically) to save the seal. It comes with a Keene 4" swivel nozzle used one trip.

· A double 4 will move as much as a 6" dredge, if you can handle it. Also, on the drawing you see a pointed tip these are 4 l/4" rods welded out to the end. This serves 2 purposes; one a digger tip to rip cemented material and a grizzly to stop plugs. The suction nozzle can also be used on under water dredges. Coming next month.
